Being over 55 is not old but a great time to start something new and to feel young at heart and in body and mind!
People are taught how to adapt the Yoga techniques to suit their needs for the different stages of their life.
You will enjoy these classes if you are over 55 or younger! These classes are designed to encourage you to learn first-hand about the benefits of Yoga and how the different aspects of yoga can help you to prevent illness, aches and pains. The physical component of the class is presented in a gentle manner and over time you will be encouraged to practice the more traditional yoga postures and movements rather than just the basics and limbering movements. Meditation and relaxation techniques are introduced and practiced in each class. The emphasis of the class is focused around understanding the correct use of the breath as this facilitates movement of your body and alertness of your mind.
Mondays 1.00pm to 2.30pm (pregnant ladies are welcome too)
Wednesdays 1.00pm to 2.30pm (pregnant ladies are welcome here too)
Thursday 1.00pm - 2.30pm (Over 55s and general class).
