All the yoga classes at GYA are based on the works of the Yoga sage ‘Patanjali’. In brief, Patanjali’s yoga is known as Ashtanga which means eight limbs. These eight limbs prepare your body and mind for what is called Samadhi or the state of pure bliss. This all comes under the path of yoga known as Hatha. Hatha yoga encompasses many ‘styles’ of yoga known today in the western world such as Iyengar, Satyananda and Sivananda etc.
